"Relief" by Kasie Hayes

This photo was taken as a part of a professional photo session. This is not your usual headshot but she wanted a few photos in a purple dress and sequined shirt. It was Lupus Awareness Month. She wanted to tell her story. She wanted to celebrate her journey. And in the midst of this session, I had a desire to look at her from a different perspective. This photo communicates relief. The desire to be relieved. The feeling of relief now and the hope of relief to come.
