"Pandemic Baby" by Kasie Hayes
No Mom ever enters a pregnancy with the concern that she will be separated from her healthy child. “Can I hold her?” Should have never been a question because it was always a right. Mothers who welcomed their babies mid- and post-pandemic held and still hold a new wave of concerns. They think about things that pre-pandemic Moms never had to concern themselves with. This photo was taken with a hesitant Mom who wanted to capture the beauty of the season she was in, but she was afraid to expose herself and her unborn child to COVID-19. She stood on the fence and I met her there. Fully supporting her in her hesitation while still capturing a once in a lifetime journey of welcoming her first born.
